Westfield Shoe Shopping - A Joy

Westfield has the best shoe shops in London because of its sheer diversity, and, of course, the layout of the place. I went for a shoe browse this weekend and I love being able to flit from shop to shop so easily - and having a bite to eat at Pho in between.

Selfridges runs Westfield close with its massive new shoe emporium but I do prefer the shopping experience in the latter
- and it doesn't involve braving the nightmare that can be Oxford Street, especially at this time of year.

And with diverse and highly desirable brands from Church's to Barratts to Jimmy Choo to Office to Jones to Schuh - it's almost impossible to go looking for a pair of shoes and not find them at Westfield. When it comes to shoe shops in London - they're all under one roof.

I didn't buy these on Saturday, but I did spend a good amount of time drooling over them in Church's. Simple British sartorial elegance at its best.

From where does Dermot O'Leary get his X Factor suits?

Have you been wondering? I have.

Well, here, is the answer.

There's no doubt he's been looking sharp this year and some of his suits (like the double-breaster below) have been lovely. Some of them have been ill-fitting though, and he has not at all nailed the pocket square.

Still - at least he's making an effort.

Pokit

I walk past the Pokit shop/showroom every day on my way to work and I've fallen in love with everything they do, from their uniquely cut, tailor-made suits, to their wonderful bags, to the dude who works in there who wears amazing hats. (And whose picture I found at The Antiquated Mindset.)

Things I Want For Christmas

Not because I expect any of you lot to buy me presents - just in case you're looking for ideas for your own lists, or to give to your man this Chrimbo.

1. A suit from asuitthatfits.com

2. The vintage Seiko 5 watch I was lusting after last year. No one got it for me.

3. Pocket Squares. I'm slightly obsessed at the moment. Dermot O'Leary keeps getting them wrong on X Factor, but look how good they can look (left).

4. Stripy socks. They can really make an outfit. Nice socks are NOT a boring Christmas present, by the way.

See? I'm easily pleased?
