This week I have been trying to adjust to the 'new weather reality', as it might be described by the kind of person who forgets the seasons come and go every year. Some people call it 'the end of summer'. Other people call it 'the beginning of autumn'.Whatevs. I have mainly been wearing slim (not skinny) jeans, classic cutaway-collar shirts (sometimes T.M. Lewin, but not the hideous pink concoction in this picture), a vintage Austin Reed sports jacket/blazer and either brown brogue lace-ups or white tretorn trainers (see right), depending on how much pavement I expect to be pounding.
I guess I haven't been particularly fashion forward this week, but I I've been looking pretty good all the same.
Tretorn sneakers remain, for me, an acceptable alternative to Converse, now that people like David Cameron have ruined the latter forever. FOREVER.
